Asbestos is a mineral fiber that was used commonly in a variety of building construction materials for insulation and as a fire-retardant and because of its fiber strength and heat resistant properties, asbestos has been used for a wide range of manufactured goods, mostly in building materials (roofing shingles, ceiling and floor tiles, paper products, and asbestos cement products).
Our construction and management teams have over 50 years identifying, handling and removing asbestos containing materials from a variety of different types of structures. We have completed over $25 million worth of asbestos abatement and maintain one of the lowest EMR safety ratings in the industry (.63).

 



Lead is a toxic metal that was used for many years in various types of products throughout many different industries. Lead is most commonly found in deteriorating lead-based paint, lead contaminated dust and lead contaminated soil. Lead also can be emitted into the air from industrial sources and leaded aviation gasoline.

  Mold Remediation

Mold spores can be found almost anywhere; they can grow on virtually any organic substance, as long as moisture and oxygen are present. There are molds that can grow on wood, paper, carpet, foods, and insulation. When excessive moisture accumulates in buildings or on building materials, mold growth will often occur, particularly if the moisture problem remains undiscovered or unaddressed. ECG employs a team of mold specialists who are trained in the latest safety & health procedures required for the clean-up of mold contamination.

 



Contaminated Soil   Remediation  

Soil contamination is either solid or liquid hazardous substances mixed with the naturally occurring soil. Usually, contaminants in the soil are physically or chemically attached to soil particles, or, if they are not attached, are trapped in the small spaces between soil particles. Our company has completed several small and large contaminated soil remediation projects for LAUSD, Los Angeles World Airports, Port of Long Beach and Port of Los Angeles which have allowed for the redevelopment and reuse of land thought to be contaminated.  lead-abatement
